Hearing Awareness Month speaker to talk about disability and employment

The local Canadian Hard of Hearing Association chapter is marking Hearing Awareness Month with a speaker talking about disability and employment.
The Hamilton branch is presenting a workshop May 14 featuring keynote speaker Mark Wafer, a Tim Hortons franchisee who employs 36 people with disabilities in all aspects of the business, including entry level positions, logistics, customer service, production, administration and management.
Th workshop is part of the group’s monthly meeting. It’s being held next Wednesday at South Gate Presbyterian Church, 120 Clarendon Ave., at 7 p.m.
