Greekfest underway on Hamilton Mountain

The annual celebration of Greek culture and faith is underway at Inch Park on Hamilton Mountain

Hundreds of pounds of gyros, a thousand pounds of souvlaki and a whole lot of baklava will be consumed during the festival, which runs until Sunday evening.

“It’s all homemade,” says co-chair Angela Moriopoulos.

Along with the food, there will be live Greek music, dance performances, vendors and a kids zone.

It all takes at Inch Park place behind Panagia Panagia - Dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church, 233 East 15th St.

Greekfest has taken place in Hamilton since 1977, the year the church opened.
