Dundas Real McCoys president and general manager Don Robertson has announced the signing of two more players for the 2013-14 Allan Cup Hockey season.
Robertson continues to work toward making the McCoys one of the top Senior AAA hockey clubs in preparation for hosting the 2014 Allan Cup Tournament in April.
The two additions to the roster are Ryan Crane and Joseph (Joey) Koudys, who have both played professionally in Europe. Crane is a defenceman who also played in the East Coast Hockey League and the United Hockey League before heading to Europe. Koudys is a local product who played in the NCAA before going to Europe for two seasons.
“Ryan is a solid defenceman, and we were very pleased to land him,” said Robertson. “ His offensive flair will help us, as well as his pro experience. We are definitely looking forward to Ryan’s contribution to the McCoys this season.
Crane, 33, is a six-foot, 205-pound right-hander, while Koudys, 25, is a five-foot, 11-inch, 185-pound right-winger.
“Joey Koudy’s a local kid who was very productive in Europe following his college career,” said Robertson. “According to our sources, his speed is second to none, and he has very quick hands.
“He isn’t a big player, but he certainly looks as though he could lift up my truck if he wanted to. It may take him a bit of time to get used to the Senior game, but I’m sure he’ll do just fine as we move along through the season”
Dundas Real McCoys season tickets for the Allan Cup Hockey 2013-14 campaign are $125 for a season flex pack, or $12 per person at the door. Season tickets are available now at Com/Choice Realty, 179 King St. W. in Dundas.
