Detour Cafe and MAC Green are hosting a fundraising dinner to raise money for the Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark system.
The dinner takes place at Detour, 41 King St. W., Dundas, Friday, March 28, 6 or 8 p.m. Cost is $60.
MACgreen is a student-run group that serves students and the surrounding community in all things environmental. Their aim is to create sustainability through active participation, creativity and diversity of ideas in the face of an ever-changing world.
The Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System is a collaborative initiative to protect, restore and connect almost 1,900 hectares of natural lands at the western end of Lake Ontario. McMaster students have pledged to raise $25,000. Ten per cent of all proceeds from the dinner will be donated to the EcoPark campaign.
