Community stars earn honours

The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce has announced the nominees for the 2013 Ancaster Community Awards.

In the running for the Ancaster Royal Bank Citizen of the Year award are Norma Chapman, Lori Parkinson and Marty Schure.

The nominees for the Ancaster Mill Youth Volunteer of the Year award are Nora Abdalaal, Felicia Binotto and Abby Sparling.

Coach and Lantern, and Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Home are vying for the Ancaster Heritage Household Business of the Year award.

Winners will be recognized at a gala dinner on April 8 at the Ancaster Mill, 548 Old Dundas Rd. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $70 per person; $650 per table of 10. Guest speaker is Russ Irwin, from Russ Irwin International Coaching.
