It’s fun. It’s funky. It’s smile-producing. Back to the 80s is two hours of top-flight singing and dancing live-band concert excitement beginning Friday April 4 at 8 p.m in the Theatre Auditorium at Ancaster High School.
Angela Broadley, who is in charge of the funky dance fun, said the show will pay tribute to some of the music industry’s greatest, most influential dance artists, including Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson and Paula Abdul.
“The intricacies of their choreography and styles have most definitely put our brains and bodies to the test,” said Broadley, the choreographer who has planned dance moves for 35 great songs. “You may see a few moon walks….The Robot….The Running Man….The Cabbage Patch…trust me…its going to be hard to stay seated.”
Broadley’s troupe of working professional dancers and dance teachers who have decades of training, awards from countless competitions and moves and athleticism that few of us will ever have.
“This crew has worked tirelessly on nailing this stuff and we are incredibly excited to share it with our audience. I am overwhelmed with the effort and dedication this team has put forth. There’s been a lot of sore muscles, a lot of sweating, but above all there’s been a lot of laughs and good times!”
