Chad Spurr scored twice, including once on a power play, to lead Brantford Blast to a 5-2 victory over the Dundas Real McCoys in the third game of the best-of-seven John Ross Robertson Cup final Friday night in the Brantford Civic Centre.
Dundas leads the series 2-1 with the action returning to the JL Grightmire Arena in Dundas, Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. Game five will be in Brantford Tuesday night (March 19) at 7:30 p.m.
In addition to Spurr, the Blast got single goals from Brad Jones, Corey Stringer on a power play and Jeremy Bloomfield into the empty net. Jon Jankus set up three of the Brantford scoring plays with Mike Ruberto and Mike Burgoyne drawing two assists apiece.
Ryan Christie and Jerry Galway replied for Dundas, both on power plays. A total of 33 penalties were handed out to both sides for a total of 88 minutes.
