Routes Youth Centre’s Scrap Metal and Electronics Drive will be held Saturday, April 20, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Olympic Arena, 70 Olympic Drive, Dundas.
Steel, aluminum, copper, brass, exotic metals, copper wiring, electric motors, car/tractor batteries are all gladly accepted. New this year, Routes will also accept TVs, computer monitors and microwaves, but, please, no propane tanks. Volunteers will help unload donations in the back parking lot at the arena.
All proceeds help support programming at Routes – a non-profit, Dundas-based, drop-in centre that aims to help young people, ages eight to 19, find socially productive
“routes’ to pursue in their lives and living.
