Role reversal carries Dundas to opening win

Dundas Real McCoys scored four times in the third period as they skated to a 5-3 victory over the Brantford Blast in the opening game of the best-of-seven John Ross Robertson Cup final last night in the Brantford Civic Centre.

The game was a complete turn around from regular season play between the two clubs when the league leading Blast swept five of the six games played between the two clubs. Four penalties were called in the game; however, none of them resulted in powerplay goals.

Game two of the series is Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the JL Grightmire Arena at Dundas.

Ryan Christie, Scott Stafford, and Darryl Smith paced the McCoys attack with a goal and an assist each. TJ Sakaluk and Cam Watson had the other goals. Joel Prpic scored twice for Brantford with Cam Sault adding a single.
