Two first period goals by Joel Prpic paced Brantford Blast to a 6-1 victory over the Dundas Real McCoys last night in Allan Cup Hockey action at the Brantford Civic Centre.
The game was postponed from last Friday night because of severe winter weather conditions. Brantford was in charge from the start, scoring three times in the first six minutes of play. Brantford outshot Dundas 45-22 on the night. Both teams scored once on the powerplay; Dundas had five opportunities while the Blast had three.
Next action for the McCoys is Friday night when they host the Whitby Dunlops at JL Grightmire Arena. Game time is 7:45 p.m.
In addition to Prpic, Brantford got single goals from Jamie Williams, Chad Spurr, Ryan Healy and Mike Ruberto. TJ Sakaluk had the lone Dundas goal on a second period powerplay.
