Jean Bailey, centre, celebrates her 100th birthday with brother Bill McMeeking, 90, daughter-in-law Lynda and son Ray during a party held in her honour at Dundas Retirement Home. Jean was born on Jan. 11, 1913, in a home that still stands at Melville and Matilda streets in Dundas. She has two sons, three grandchildren and six grandchildren. Along with family and friends, best wishes on her special day came from Govenor General David Johnston, “Elizabeth R” of Buckingham Palace and Alex Salmond, First Minister of Scotland.
