The Ancaster Knights of Columbus Lobsterfest takes place at a new location this year – the Ancaster Fairgrounds – on Saturday May 18 during the Victoria Day long weekend.
Lobsterfest combines delicious food, wonderful music and dancing, a great atmosphere and loads of fun. The Knights will bring in almost 4,000 lobsters fresh from the East Coast to be cooked over wood fires in large lobster pots.
Juicy 14-ounce steaks are cooked on a number of large barbecues. Prices remain the same as 2012 – $50 for a three lobster dinner and $40 for a steak dinner.
After dinner, the evening continues until 1 a.m., with a video dance party led by disc jockey Donny Lovering; $20 dance-only tickets are available. A casino and silent auction are also crowd favourites.
Tickets will be available online only this year, beginning on March 18 at http://www.kofcancaster.ca/tickets. More than 50 local charitable and service organizations benefit from the nearly $50,000 raised annually from Ancaster Knights of Columbus events.
