Dundas lawyer Casey Vandeputte is part of a team of lawyers writing wills for people under a promotion being run by the Canadian Cancer Society during May.
Vandeputte, of Casey J. Vandeputte Professional Corporation, helped launch the event last week with lawyers Tyler Banham, Mark Dudzic Barristers and Solicitors of Hamilton, and Henri Charlebois, Hastings Charlebois Law Office of Burlington.
People aged 55 or over living in Ancaster, Burlington, Dundas and Hamilton can have a simple will written free of charge provided they contact one of the participating lawyers during May.
The Canadian Cancer Society is running the promotion, their eighth in Ontario in the past four years, to encourage more people to write or update their will and at the same time to consider including a bequest to the charity.
More information, including the names of participating lawyers, can be found at www.freewillsmonth.ca/ccs or by calling 1-888-337-2884.
