Charly Moore will be representing Canada at the World Irish Dance Championships in Boston, March 24-31.
A Grade 11 student at Bishop Tonnos High School, Charly is a member of the Goggin-Carroll School of Irish Dance in Oakville. Co-owner Ryan Carroll is an original member of River Dance, and no stranger to international competition.
Charly and other students who have qualified for the worlds are training 18-plus hours a week.
“There is nothing more exhilarating and exciting than standing on a stage by yourself facing seven judges and knowing that the whole Canadian Irish dance community is pulling for you, as well as the friends I have made around the world. It’s a fantastic feeling” said Charly.
Charly qualified to compete in Boston at the North American Championships held in Chicago last July.
