Charity hockey challenge remembers Jason

Jason McDonough’s favourite charity will benefit when his friends and hockey mates meet on the ice on March 2.

The Ontario Debt Advisors Crazy Canucks will host their arch rivals, the Hamilton Mustangs, in the inaugural Jason McDonough SPCA Charity Hockey Challenge.
The puck drops at 7 p.m. A $10 entry fee will be donated to the SPCA.

Following the game, Wentworth Triple Rinks Arena, 1249 Wilson St. E., hosts an after-party with a cash bar and live music from the Davis Payne Band.

Fondly referred to as Donut, McDonough was the president of the Dundas Men’s Slo-pitch League. Along with other family members and friends, he left behind his wife Brandi and daughter Baille when he died in August 2011 while swimming on vacation.
