BEAR Unit needs helps to identify gas station thieves

On March 21 at approximately 5:20 a.m., three males entered the Shell gas station variety store at 10 Legend Court in Ancaster.

Once inside, the largest of the three males walked to the back of the store stating he needed to use the washroom. The two other males wandered around the store, distracting the lone employee.

The male who asked to use the washroom walked directly to an unlocked office area and stayed inside for a brief period. He then exited the office and went into the men’s washroom. A short time later, the male exited the washroom and left via a rear door. The two remaining males also left.

It was later discovered a large amount of cash was taken from the office.

The first suspect is described as male, Middle Eastern, heavy build, short black hair, black beard, grey sweatshirt and black pants.

The second suspect is also described by police as male and Middle Eastern, with thin, short black hair, black beard, blue winter jacket and a black or grey sweater.

The third suspect is male, Middle Eastern, thin, black baseball cap, short black hair, patchy black beard, grey sweat shirt and black pants.

The Hamilton Police Service BEAR Unit continues to investigate and asks anyone with information to call Detective  Mark Mayner at 905-546-8938 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
