The Ancaster Avalanche Peewee Cs topped the eight-team round-robin standings by going undefeated into the championship game.
The Ancaster Avalanche Peewee Cs captured silver at the 32nd Annual Walter Gretzky Girls Hockey Tournament.
The Avalanche topped the eight-team round-robin standings by going undefeated. MVP performances came from Sidney Wright, Abbey James, Lauryn Hamilton, Delaney Behiel and Madeline Gillis.
The girls were backed by solid goaltending as James and Jane Gowland posted four consecutive shutouts on the way to a berth in the championship game against the Sarnia Sting. The Sting avenged a round-robin loss to the Avs and took the gold medal with a 2-0 win.
The Avs have lost just three of their last 17 games.
The team roster includes, back row, Madeline Gillis, Vienna Roberts, Pyper Moon, Olivia Rosewell, Lauryn Hamilton, Sidney Wright and Delaney Behiel.
