Ancaster’s Fieldote marks Bloody Assize with Royal Scots Grenadiers

A member of the Royal Scots Grenadiers poses for a photo with Luke and Isabella McCutcheon during the Fieldcote Memorial Park and Museum event to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Bloody Assize. On July 20, 1814, eight men were hanged at Burlington Heights (where Dundurn Castle now stands) after being convicted of high treason.
