The second annual Give Proof to Our Youth event is coming up July 26. It’s being held at T.B McQuesten Park on Upper Wentworth Street starting at noon and ending at 8 p.m. with a balloon release in memory of Marley J. Rowe, the son of organizer Sherri Bonnallie and first senseless murder victim of Hamilton in 2014.
Bonnallie says youth should not be lost to the streets and have no fear of having somewhere to go and be accepted equally regardless of their race or religious believes. The goal this year is $5,000, to be donated to youth programs in Hamilton.
Bonnallie is looking for youth-related business and groups to participate in the event. For more information, see “Give Proof to Our Youth” on Facebook.
