Honouring Dundas’ community stars

The community of Dundas is getting ready to honour its shining stars and to say thanks for their contributions during the Dundas Community Awards banquet.

Don Robertson, who brought the Allan Cup championships to town in April, has been acclaimed as the RBC Citizen of the Year. In the running for the Dundas Valley Collision Centre Youth Volunteer Awards are eight-year-olds Devin Baker, Emily Davis Santos and Beckett Schefold, Tim Hamilton and Danielle Roscoe

Four businesses have earned accolades for their contributions — Collins Brewhouse, Dundas Museum and Archives, Valley Antiques and Zumba Dundas.

The Dundas Division of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce hosts the Dundas Community Awards on Friday, May 30 at the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club.

A reception starts at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m.

Speaker Rob MacIssac will address the topic, The Health of the City.
